Do you want to lose weight fast? Who doesn't want that anyway? But how many are actually able to lose weight successfully? Few people really have in them what it takes to lose weight. Have you ever
wondered why some people have lost weight successfully while others
have failed at it miserably? In this article, I will try to answer
those questions.
1. If you really want to lose weight, laziness is the number one
enemy that you need to overpower! There are some people who exercise
like hell for one day and then get lazy on the very next day. They
seem to think that since they exercised enough on the previous day,
they can take some rest during the next day. This is a very big, bad
misconception. If you exercise one day and do nothing on the very
next day, you will achieve virtually nothing. All the calories that
you had lost during your previous workout will be added back
(remember that you have been eating everyday, right?).
That is why I would advise you to take it easy. Don't workout too
hard on a single day or you will get burned out. Start slow. Try to
exercise for not more than thirty minutes per day. If you do this
regularly it would do you far more good than working out for hours
one day and doing nothing on the other.
2. There are others who treat themselves to a heavy, calorie-rich
diet right after they have finished exercising. They think that
since they burned out a lot of calories in the workout, eating some
calorie-rich foods won't affect them at all. Totally wrong! By
eating out junk food right after exercising, you are not helping
yourself at all! Rather you are adding back all the fat that you had
lost through exercises. The golden rule of weight loss is that you
need to be on a strict diet as well as exercise regularly.
3. If you don't want to exercise, there is no need to break your
head over it. In case you don't know, walking is also a mild form of
exercise that can burn calories. If you do nothing, at least leave
your couch and take a walk. Take your pet dog along with you if you
want, or have a friend give you company. If you have got neither a
pet nor friend, you can of course take out your cell phone and talk
to someone while walking. You won't even realize how easy it is to
walk miles on end when you have got someone for company!
